🧾 Keep receipts: proof of where things came from
If you cannot show where something came from, be careful buying it. A receipt or record is proof, and proof settles arguments.
🧾 In the game: “Keep receipts”
If you can't show where it came from, don't buy it.
You learn this law in Cheap copper?, Inspector fine!, Whose crane was it? (some of these are in the Sun-Gear mystery). Then you can pass it in your town Council, where it belongs to 🛡️ Order.
+ No inspector fines − Builds 10% slower
Every law in the game has an upside and a cost, just like real rules.
In real life
Buying stolen goods can be an offence even if you did not steal them. Businesses keep records so they can show what they bought and sold.
Think about it
Why is a deal that is “too cheap to be true” a warning sign?
